Dear Prayer Partners,

In July 2008, two of the ten graduates from Pilgrim Wesleyan Bible College left their wives behind  at PWBC to finish their schooling. Both of the men went to churches that had some big problems. One of those men, Pastor Kamanga, went to a church which had been disappointed by a previous pastor’s moral failures.  Many in the church and community expected Pastor Kamanga to also fail. But God has helped him to stand strong and after a year the church and community has finally accepted him and begun to grow. Mrs. Kamanga recently did her internship at her husband’s church, where she worked in evangelism and the women’s ministry. God has given her a fresh vision to begin a “charity” ministry to orphans, widows, to visit the hospitals and prisons, and to teach adult literacy.  When her husband went to the church last year she didn’t want to go there, but now she has a God given vision for the community and is ready.

Mrs. Kamanga and Mrs. Chisulo will graduate on July 25 and join their husbands in ministry. 
For the first time there will be more women (4) than men (2) in the graduating class of 2009.

We are returning to the USA in July and will begin home ministries at the end of August. You have been faithful to pray for us and support us financially. God is doing some great things in the Pilgrim Wesleyan Church of Zambia  We would like to be able to visit your church during this next year from  August 15, 2009- July 2010 and share about missions and the work in Zambia. 1. Pray for the six students who will graduate in July.
2. Pray for the principal, Rev. Jani,  and the staff as they lead the Bible College.
3. Pray for a physical healing for Rev. Jani’s back. He has had a back problem for about 6 months.

Prayers Answered:

1. Praise God for the financial support that has come in for us.
2. Praise God for the way He is developing and using the students at PWBC.
3. Praise God for those He is continuing to call into ministry.
